About the Course
Begin your journey with a private Zoom session with Michelle Sider to help you select your image and discuss your composition. Then we will meet at Canopy Art Garden in Asheville, N.C. for three fun-filled days of mosaic making, wine tasting, and gallery visits. During this workshop, Michelle will guide you through her distinctive technique of creating stunning 3-D mosaics with smalti and stained glass.
Drawing upon over 40 years of experience teaching art, Michelle provides a memorable learning opportunity with plenty of in-depth tips, feedback, and one-on-one time in a creative and supportive environment. The workshop begins with a PowerPoint presentation, detailed instructions, and a demonstration to help you create a stunning 3-D mosaic. The provided images are carefully chosen to help you get the most out of this workshop. Reach the next level in your artwork as Michelle guides you through color and value choices, andamento, and more to help you create a stunning 8” x 8” mosaic!

Hours: 10:00 am - 5:00 pm, with a one-hour lunch break.
Cost: $475. The price includes the workshop, a private Zoom session, 8” x 8” substrate, adhesive and handouts.
Bring your nippers, tweezers, scorers, running pliers, & glass. The price does not include wine tasting.
